Site Update
Next Week April 14th-19th Nwchristianmusic.com will remain untouched and not updated. It’s going to be entered into Fine Arts, which is an Assembly of God completion against other youth in the area. However, the news will still be updated, and the blog, since I can do that without altering the site’s design and what not. This also means no Artists/Bands will be added during this time period. The following week we will presume back to normal status and get those bands added. However you still can register bands, they just won’t go live on the site.
Remember, we also have a Discussion Forum in which you can talk with others and Discuss NW Christian Music, or really anything you like that is appropriate. Check the News Section to keep current on whats happening with the NW Christian Music Artists/Bands.
New “News” Section
A few days we launched a brand new “News” section on our website, where you can easily find the latest in whats happening in Northwest Christian Music News. The newest news item will be on our main page, also. We are excited to bring you this news section where you can comment on the articles and email them to friends.

Happy Valentines Day
As I am traveling to LA this weekend, I got delayed in Reno NV. The Airport to me is really calm compared to most AirPort’s I have been to. Since I had some down time in between flights I thought it would be a good idea to post a blog.
I was searching online today for some good Valentines Quote and found this that I really liked. “A woman’s heart should be so close to God that a man has to seek God to find it.” Thats for all you men, but really you could reverse and have it work the other way as well.
We also have a new Podcast Up, you can subscribe to that Via Itunes and or listen to it here.
Have a Happy Valentines Day……

Join Northwest Christian Music’s Street Team
We have officially launched a street team for Northwest Christian Music. The reason being so we can increase traffic to the site and let people know that it exists. On the street team’s Myspace group you’ll find banners to post on your Myspace, and we’ll be sure to post upcoming events we have so you can help get the word out about those as well.
In addition to the Streeteam we have added a Promotion Center on the site that will contain resources on how you can help promote the site.
Ways to Promote Your Band
People are always asking me some of the best ways on how to promote and give a band a real kick to get it’s name out there. I respond to them all in various ways, so I finally decided I needed to write an official source where I can point them to, and article on how to promote your Band. So, that is what this blog entry is all about.
Step 1 - Create a Myspace Music Profile
As you know Myspace is one of the top Social Networking sites on the net right now. So, all you have do is make a Myspace Band Profile, Upload a Pic, some of your tunes and a short bio. After that really all you have to is add friends and keep the profile updated. Also, adding a theme/layout to your Myspace really spices it up and makes it more attractive.
Step 2 - Create a Purvolume.com Artist Account
Purevolume is a lot like Myspace. Basicaly the same concept but not with some of the added features Myspace has such as bulletins, groups, etc. So you just upload a pic, music, and bio just like Myspace. Except with Purevolume, it doesn’t give you and option to customize your page as much as Myspace.
Step 3- Make a page on anyother social networking site you like
Here are some more sites you can make an Artist Account on:
HisHolySpace.com
Indietunes.com
iSOUND.com
MP3.com
ReverbNation.com
Shoutlife.com
Virb.com
To add another site to the list, leave us a comment with the site and we’ll add it.
The New Divide’s “Time In The Sea” EP
I have heard a few Tracks from the EP so far it is awesome. Th New Divide formerly Styful has a different sound than before, and they truly pull it off well in the new EP.

You can pick up a Copy of “Time In The Sea” EP at Break of Day Records Online Store
