We have officially launched a street team for Northwest Christian Music. The reason being so we can increase traffic to the site and let people know that it exists. On the street team’s Myspace group you’ll find banners to post on your Myspace, and we’ll be sure to post upcoming events we have so you can help get the word out about those as well.

In addition to the Streeteam we have added a Promotion Center on the site that will contain resources on how you can help promote the site.

Ways to Promote Your Band

Promotion - 2 Comments » - Posted on January, 26 at 12:31 pm

People are always asking me some of the best ways on how to promote and give a band a real kick to get it’s name out there. I respond to them all in various ways, so I finally decided I needed to write an official source where I can point them to, and article on how to promote your Band. So, that is what this blog entry is all about.

Step 1 - Create a Myspace Music Profile
As you know Myspace is one of the top Social Networking sites on the net right now. So, all you have do is make a Myspace Band Profile, Upload a Pic, some of your tunes and a short bio. After that really all you have to is add friends and keep the profile updated. Also, adding a theme/layout to your Myspace really spices it up and makes it more attractive.

Step 2 - Create a Purvolume.com Artist Account
Purevolume is a lot like Myspace. Basicaly the same concept but not with some of the added features Myspace has such as bulletins, groups, etc. So you just upload a pic, music, and bio just like Myspace. Except with Purevolume, it doesn’t give you and option to customize your page as much as Myspace.

Step 3- Make a page on anyother social networking site you like
Here are some more sites you can make an Artist Account on:
HisHolySpace.com
Indietunes.com
iSOUND.com
MP3.com
ReverbNation.com
Shoutlife.com
Virb.com

To add another site to the list, leave us a comment with the site and we’ll add it.

Happy Belated Thanksgiving

Uncategorized - No Comments » - Posted on November, 24 at 5:53 pm

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving with your family and friends. I didn’t get to write you all on Thanksgiving since I was up in Eastern Washington visiting my Family.  After eating delicious Turkey, Gravey, and Mash Potatoes, my cousin and I decided to to go see the movie Beowulf in 3d. I’d never seen a 3d film before, I thought it was cool, however the movie itself was odd, and didn’t have that great of a story plot, it still was awesome since it was 3d.

Anyways, enough about me, leave me a comment below on what you did for Thanksgiving, and we’ll see you around.

Also, be sure to checkout our latest News Section to keep up to date on whats happening with the Northwest Christian Music scene.

God bless you all,
Justen

Our Roots

Northwest Christian Music - No Comments » - Posted on August, 11 at 11:20 pm

Some of you are wondering what Northwest Christian Music is all about. We believe that the NW has truly talented Christian Artists. So, we do all we can to promote them, and help them with anything they need. We provide them with a page on our website, which consists of a music player, About Me, Links to Website and Myspace, as well as a photo gallery which is by request only.

Our Mission

To promote Northwest Christian Artist’s as well as, To impact this region with Great and Inspirational Music. As well as to outreach as a Ministry to people so they can dedicate their Lives to Jesus Christ!

When I first started this Website/Ministry up, God placed a verse on My Heart.

[Ask, Seek, Knock] “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.- Matthew 7:7-8

What this verse means in our Ministry Perspective is, if you pursue your music with passion, then God will open doors for you.  I believe since your writing music and performing music for God, then you will have doors opened. The doors that may be opened are infinite possibilities, and some of them are unimaginable. For instance, someone could get signed, and God will allow that to happen.

So, Northwest Christian Artists, do everything you do in music with all your effort, and strength, and I know you will be blessed upon imagination.

Who is Jesus?

Uncategorized - No Comments » - Posted on August, 11 at 11:34 am

I was reading one of my friends blog, and he posted this video, “Who is Jesus?”, and many people have no clue.

The Theological Edge Wrote:

“Working on Colossians 2 I started to think about peoples various “opinions” about Jesus. Since I didn’t have the time or skills to do “people on the street” interviews I did the next best thing–YouTube search. The one below is 10 minutes but I believe worth it.”

I have not ventured out to TomFest myself since I have been busy with getting everything squared away for the concert on Sunday. However, I have heard that just about every band has delivered an excellent performance. I hope to make it out tonight to go see the band “Ruth“, which should be amazing.

I want feedback on my Blog, please send it to justen@nwchristianmusic.com I look forward to hearing from you all!

Below are some older YouTube videos that I found on TomFest and thought you’d like to see them.
