About

Laura was recently in the feature film, "Twilight" that filmed locally - and the movie trailer is finally up! See above, and then go see the movie in December! :)

Native to the Northwest, Laura began singing as a child, growing up in a large family where both creating and performing music were a normal part of life. After several years singing in her home church, she decided to try her hand at writing her own music at the age of fourteen. She continued to write original music as she attended college in Portland, OR on a music scholarship.

Now Laura is a wife and mother of three beautiful children. Inspired by personal experience and the lives of those close to her, she writes in a way that draws you in to her journey of life, love, and pain – and brings a sense of discovery, hope, and understanding. Her lyrics and melodies are both raw and real, challenging and intriguing, and will always leave you wanting to hear more!

In 2007, with the help of her husband, she completed the tracks for her EP at Downbeat Sounds in Vancouver, WA. The EP is currently selling at shows and in retail establishments in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho, and select tracks are scheduled for airplay on radio stations in the US, Canada and the Philippines. Currently "Be Still" is playing on Spirit 105.3 FM in Seattle and can be heard streaming on iTunes or at www.spirit1053.com

Since the release of the EP, Laura has been awarded with the Vocalist of the Month from Singer Universe (www.singeruniverse.com), won the Christian/Gospel category for the Song of the Year competition (www.songoftheyear.com) for the month of October which moves her into the annual finals, and was selected to be one of 12 bands in the 104.1 FM The Fish “Home for the Holidays” Christmas Show 2007 live on air in Portland, OR. She was also featured in January as one of the artists on Spirit 105.3 FM Seattle for their Local Music Project.

Laura can be seen in a number of venues from full-band large concerts to acoustic shows with her husband in coffee shops and clubs.

The EP tracks are the beginning of a full length record that is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2008.

Produced by Kris, co-produced by Tim Downing and Shawn Lewis, and joined by top notch players from the area, the team completed Laura's EP at Downbeat Sounds in Vancouver, WA.
