About Us

Formerly known as Styful, The New Divide formed in September of 2006. Three brothers (Aaron, Doug, and Andy) started Styful, and began playing shows around the North West. Playing in venues ranging everywhere from clubs to churches, Styful played as three brothers until the summer of 2007, when Aaron (drums) decided to step out. At that time Andrew Young (The Brevity, The Victory Sting) joined Styful to drum for an upcoming tour. The band then became a 4 piece when Steve Wescott (The Monroe, The Writing Life) joined in on lead guitar. After playing shows around the country as Styful, The guys decided to change the name to The New Divide with the release of their debut CD, to better fit the sound, purpose, and heart of the band.

The New Divide plays shows around the country, for churches, youth groups, clubs, camps, and any type of event they can turn on a guitar amp for! Putting on either a highly energetic Indy Rock set, or a passionate time of Worship - The New Divide encourages all within ear shot that life is about making choices that have long lasting effect...
